Program II
Requirements
Individuals who graduated from high school and are mature Christians (normally over 30 years of age) may elect to complete their requirements for license and qualify for their B.A. in Christian counseling.
Complete Phase I & II & III Courses
CERTIFICATION PATH
Phase I Courses:
* Basic Christian Counseling
* Temperament Theory
* Testing/Measurements
* Temperament Therapy
* Christian Counseling: Integrating Temperament and Psychology
* Complete Supervised Practicum
PRACTICUM:
- Complete a practicum that consists of administering the A.P.S. to 10 individuals and (3) hours of clinical supervision under the direction of an assigned and approved clinical supervisor.
Upon completion of Phase I requirements, subsequent review, and acceptance, the candidate will qualify to receive:
- a Certified Temperament Counselor certificate and
- a Clinical Member (non-clergy) or Professional Clinical Member (clergy) certificate, membership card, and lapel pin
LICENSING PATH
Phase II Courses:
* Mastering Pastoral Counseling Utilizing Temperament
* Temperament Case Studies
* Counseling the Codependent
* Complete Supervised Practicum
Complete practicum
* Administer Arno Profile System to 15 persons while under guidance of approved clinical supervisor.
Upon completion of Phase II requirements, subsequent review and acceptance, the candidate will qualify to receive:
- Certified Pastoral Counselor (high-school diploma, GED or Associates)
- Licensed Pastoral Counselor (holds a Bachelors)
- Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor (holds a Masters]
- Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor-Advanced Certification (holds a Doctorate)
- Certified Temperament Pastoral Counselor (Optional) (additional $39 fee applies)
Phase III Courses
* Complete six (6) Advanced Courses
Integrated Marriage and Family Therapy
1. Marriage and Family Counseling – An Integrated Approach
2. Integrated Temperament Couple Therapy
3. Pre-Marriage Counseling with Temperament
4. The Father-Daughter Connection
Child and Adolescent Therapy
5. Counseling Families
6. Counseling and Children
1. Complete the 500 Question Equivalency Exam
* The Bible (Old and New Testament - KJV).
2. Complete a practicum Phase I & II
* Administer the A.P.S. - Arno Profile System to 25 persons while under direction of approved clinical supervisor (provided).
