Our society today, post 9/11 and in the current pandemic, is hurting deeply, and increasingly looking to God for answers for daily living.  It is our belief that God wants to work through His body, “The Church”, to bring help, hope, comfort, and guidance to lost and hurting people everywhere.  The role of the skilled Christian/Pastoral counselor will become increasingly significant affording us many opportunities to lead lost & hurting people to the Lord. 

If you are called to the Ministry of Counseling  you have come to the right place.   New Life BIBLE INSTITUTE & Christian Women's Leadership Academy is equipped to  train and equip Christians who are called to the Ministry of Counseling and Women's Ministry.

It is our mission to help you fulfill the call of Isaiah 61, “to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound,..to comfort all that mourn”, and to break the spirit of heaviness which rests on so many lost and hurting people in the world.   In their healing, our hope is that they might become TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS THAT GOD MIGHT BE GLORIFIED.
 
The Apostle Paul wrote in I Corinthians 4:1-2,   “Let a man so account of us, as of the minister’s of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.  Moreover, it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”

Our programs are guaranteed to be challenging. It requires a solid commitment to the call God has given you to prepare for the Ministry of Counseling.  It requires commitment of your time and finances.   In the end, your investment of time, finances, and obedience will far exceed the challenges of completing your program.   I encourage you to take the first step.  I did, and can speak of the faithfulness of God throughout my preparatory training.

Dr. Joyce LaVerne Griffith is the president of New Life Bible Institute & Christian Women's Leadership Academy. She has earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Christian Counseling M.A. in Psychology, B.A. in Christian Psychology, B.A. in Religious Studies. In addition, she has studied at the Washington Bible College in Maryland, and the Christian Theological Seminary in Indiana. She is an N.C.C.A. Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor -Advanced with board certifications in Marriage, Family, Child, Adolescent counseling & Group Therapy.  She is a Professional Clinical Member, and a State Clinical Supervisor for N.B.C.C.T., providing clinical supervision for licensure candidates. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, where she is Board Certified Pastoral Counselor and holds certifications in Addiction and Recovery, Grief & Trauma, and Life Coaching.  She  has served as adjunct faculty member with LOGOS Christian College and Graduate schools Jacksonville, Florida. She has had her own counseling ministry since 1990 - counseling with individuals, families, and groups.
