COURSE DESCRIPTION: Part 1
This course in personal Christian Lay-Counseling teaches how to reach out or respond when someone is in crisis. It presents a practical counseling model that utilizes Biblically based counseling techniques taking examples from the Ministry of Jesus. It prepares laypersons to support friends and community members emphasizing practical, hands-on approaches to counseling. The training encompasses various aspect of personal counseling, including understanding real-life crises, developing effective personal attitudes for counseling, and mastering a five-phased counseling model including exercises and role-playing scenarios to reinforce the learned concepts and techniques.

3. INTRODUCTION TO LAY-COUNSELING - Part 2 - CRISIS INTERVENTION
This course is a continuation of the foundational lay-counseling course and provides knowledge of basic crisis counseling from a biblical perspective for Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Suicide and other related subjects including making proper referrals as needed.
